Jevita is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, EMDRIA-certified EMDR therapist and Approved Consultant, as well as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois, Indiana, Nevada, and Alaska. She is a trained trauma therapist who blends clinical knowledge with a grounded, compassionate presence. As a proud South Side Chicago native, she encourages clients to live unapologetically in their truth. She supports clients with navigating trauma, living with dissociation, embracing life transitions, and doing the ongoing internal work of reconnection through her private group practice based in the south suburbs of the city.

She deeply believes in the wisdom of the body and integrates Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Internal Family Systems (Level 1 trained), and Ego State Therapy into her work. Jevita holds several advanced certifications, including an Advanced Certificate in Dissociation Studies for EMDR Therapists, certification as a Somatic EMDR Practitioner, and as an Integrative Somatic Trauma Practitioner. Her clinical approach is holistic, relational, body-centered, and trauma-informed—rooted in the belief that healing happens when people feel safe enough to be seen, supported, and gently curious about their experience.

Jevita’s work is also informed by her ongoing studies in attachment theory, developmental trauma and the complexities of human behavior, recognizing that every action has meaning worth exploring. A lifelong learner, she continually expands her awareness and integrates new information into her practice to best support her clients’ healing journeys.

She holds a BSW from Clark Atlanta University, an MSW from Georgia State University, and an MA in Grant Writing from Concordia University. Jevita is a mommy to three girls, a passionate crafter, and an avid traveler. She knows firsthand how “life be life-ing” and brings her lived experience into the room with warmth, clarity, and an unwavering commitment to finding ease in both clinical work and consultation.
