Melina Bondy
They/them
I work as a Registered Psychotherapist, meditation teacher and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. My work always includes the body, heart and mind to relearn safety and aliveness, while also addressing the historical, political, ancestral and systemic factors at play. I have been deeply shaped by nine years of monastic life, ordained by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, as well as thirty years of creative arts practice. In all pursuits and offerings, I seek not to fix what is broken, but to rediscover what has always been whole.
I trained in Psychotherapy and Spiritual Care at Emmanuel College, University of Toronto and have worked in institutional settings as well as private practice while also facilitating mindfulness and resilience programs, in-person and online.
I study theology and neuroscience for fun, bike as much as possible, love to sing and dance, and my favourite vegetable is kale.
